From Place Saint-Jacques you will have a commanding view of the Orb, the canal bridge and in the distance the view of Saint-Nazaire Cathedral .
I have prepared a30-minute walk to get there, passing the old arenas, then the Tourist Office and the Town Hall , the Central Market Halls , the Boyer de Sorgues hotel , and returning via the small streets .
A Another 40-minute route will take you to The Madeleine church will introduce you to the municipal theater which will celebrate its 180th anniversary in 2024.
and the district of the Paul Riquet alleys, creator of the Canal du Midi, up to the Poets' Garden classified as a remarkable garden, to Béziers train station from where you can take the bus to Valras beach (which is celebrating its 90th anniversary) in 30 minutes, before going back up .
Don't forget to visit ( 25 minutes walk from the house) the 9 locks of Fonseranes from where you can take a barge to navigate on the Canal du Midi.
